SCENIC INDUSTRIES CAPABILITIES
The core of Scenic Industries is our tooling design and machining capabilities. This includes traditional patterns and core boxes as well as Lost Foam and DISA tooling. Our ability to design and manufacture tooling has resulted in the growth of our business into other markets such as molds and part holding fixtures. Additionally, our capabilities and capacities have allowed us to expand into machining services supporting a number of markets including large iron castings, weldments, hydraulic cylinder components and parts for the heavy equipment market.
QUALITY
As an ISO9001:2015 certified company, we take quality seriously. We continually test our Quality Management System (QMS) to insure our results exceed our customer’s expectation from the first customer contact and interface through product design, manufacturing, delivery and customer feedback.
DESIGN
Scenic Industries uses Creo and Solidworks, robust CAD products, to design and model the complex tooling systems used in our products such as Lost Foam Tooling, and core boxes. Once our tooling is designed, we use Mastercam to create our machining toolpath. Mastercam allows our tool makers and machinists to efficiently produce high quality 3-D geometry from aluminum, steel, iron, wood, brass and composites.
MACHINING
Scenic has over 20 CNC machining centers to meet our customer’s machining challenges. This includes HAAS and Fadal Vertical Machining Centers, Mazak Turning Centers and Toshiba, Toyoda, and Poreba Horizontal Machining Centers. The most complex parts can be machined on our HAAS UMC-1000 5-axis machining center or Trevisan DS900 Horizontal Machining Center with U-Axis. Additionally, for large turning demands, our Honor Seiki VL-160 and VL-100 CNC Vertical Turning Lathe allow us to swing over 77”.
TOOLING
The foundation of our business is tooling. Our team has been designing and building tooling and patterns for over 30 years. In addition to foundry tooling such as DISA patterns and Lost Foam Tooling, our tooling includes patterns, core boxes, and part holding fixtures.
